Terms of Service
Last updated 24 October 2026. These terms govern your use of Forge, operated by the company identified in section 1 ("we"). By creating an account or using Forge you agree to them. Questions: contact@forge.team.
1. The service and who operates it
Forge is operated by the company registered in England and Wales under company number 17431058, registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
Forge is an AI agent product: a hosted service plus optional desktop software. Agents act on your instructions - including running commands, editing files and browsing on machines you connect - and you are responsible for what you direct them to do and for reviewing the results.
2. Accounts and verification
You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. One account per person. To protect the service and its promotional programs we may require verification before adding promotional balance or continuing service - including verifying a phone number and, in some cases, a step-up identity check. Accounts using disposable, virtual (VoIP) or shared numbers, or that we reasonably believe are duplicates or automated, may be refused verification, promotional balance, or service.
We plan to make phone sign-in available in every country, subject to carrier availability and the checks below. The planned safeguards include checking numbers with a third-party fraud-prevention provider and, for some numbers, a quick human check; we may decline to send a code to a number that looks risky, temporary or recently abused. If texting a country becomes unusually costly or is being abused, we may pause sign-in codes for that country for a time. Delivery depends on carriers and is not guaranteed. If a code cannot be sent, or is paused where you are, you can sign in with email instead; anything that needs phone verification, such as the $20 sign-up grant, waits until a code can be sent.
3. Wallet and usage
Usage of Forge is metered against your wallet balance, denominated in dollars of usage value. Wallet balance - purchased or promotional - is not money, has no cash value, is non-transferable, and is not redeemable or refundable except where the law requires. The $20 sign-up grant is added to your wallet after phone verification, not at signup. The smallest top-up is $10. Pricing and metering rates may change prospectively. The pool/overflow tiers described next are planned and are not yet implemented in the billing ledger. Under these planned rules, the first $5,000 of balance you buy in each calendar month (UTC), including auto top-ups, would be pool balance. Balance bought beyond that would be overflow balance: it would remain available to buy and would be charged on the overflow tier at the same pricing formula, using the AI provider's API list price as the real cost, which is usually more than pool pricing. If pool capacity were temporarily unavailable, usage would continue on the overflow tier and be charged at overflow pricing. The planned spend order is pool balance before overflow balance, and purchased balance before promotional balance; under these planned rules, only an empty balance or an overdue retainer (section 4) stops usage. Phone and speech usage is metered at twice the underlying carrier or speech cost.
4. Retainers
Starter has no retainer. A Pro retainer costs $100 a month and deposits $100 into your wallet each paid month. A Max retainer costs $850 a month, deposits $1,000 into your wallet each paid month, and includes Forge API access. Unused balance stays in your wallet. A retainer renews each month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month, after which the account is on Starter. Upgrading from Pro to Max takes effect at once: we charge the prorated difference for the rest of the month and deposit its share into your wallet. Stepping down from Max to Pro takes effect at the next renewal. If a renewal payment fails, we retry it on your other saved payment methods in the order you set. If none of them succeeds, the retainer is overdue: nothing new runs, and the account keeps access for 5 days; after that, the app is blocked until the retainer is settled. The $1,000 fast pass admits you from the waitlist and pays the first month of the retainer you choose; the rest lands in your wallet.
5. Promotional and referral balance
Eligible referred users receive $50 in promotional balance at admission and phone verification, in addition to the $20 sign-up grant. Referrers receive $50 when the referred user makes their first purchase or completes seven distinct active days, whichever happens first. A phone-verified referral can also improve the referrer's waitlist position. Referral rewards are subject to per-referrer caps and fraud checks. We may withhold, adjust, or claw back promotional balance - including promotional balance already spent where permitted - where we determine fraud or abuse, including self-referral, multiple or coordinated accounts, fake or virtual phone numbers, automated signups, or any circumvention of program rules. We may suspend or terminate accounts involved. Promotional programs may be changed or ended at any time.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details. Applicable tax, including UK VAT where required, is shown at checkout. Statutory cancellation and refund rights remain unaffected. A refund, chargeback or payment reversal may result in removal of the corresponding purchased balance; a chargeback may also suspend the account. Once the planned balance tiers are implemented, refunds would remove overflow balance from that purchase first, then pool balance. Your card is saved to your account when you top up, start a retainer or add a card. You can save several payment methods: the first is your default, and the rest are backups tried in order when a charge fails. Auto top-up is optional and on by default: it adds $50 when your balance drops below $10. You can turn it off, or change the threshold, the amount and, if you wish, a monthly limit, in Wallet. While it is on, you authorise us to charge your saved payment methods off-session, the default first and then each backup in order, whenever the balance falls below that threshold. While a retainer is active, you authorise us to charge its monthly price to the same payment methods, in the same order. Each top-up is a purchase with its own emailed receipt; under the planned tier rules it would count toward your monthly $5,000 of pool balance. You can turn it off or remove a payment method at any time in Settings. A failed charge adds nothing to your wallet and triggers an email; a hard decline, a request from your bank to confirm the payment yourself, or repeated failures turn auto top-up off.
7. Calls and messages
If you text, call or email Forge, we may get back to that sender until you ask us to stop, including in natural language: by text or a call to the number you texted or called from, or by email to the address you emailed from. Otherwise Forge may text or call the phone number verified on your account. It calls when its agent judges a call useful; there is no separate setting to turn calls on. Replying STOP stops agent calls as well as agent texts until you reply START; Forge's agent is also instructed to honour a request to stop made in plain words. We plan to give each admitted account its own Forge phone number and email address. Once those are assigned, Forge's agent may message you first from them, by text or email, for example to welcome you and help you get started. This first contact requires your consent recorded at sign-up; creating an account alone does not enable first-contact texts. Agent-initiated calls and texts are not placed or sent during quiet hours in the recipient's local time. When Forge's agent calls or answers someone other than the account holder, it first says it is Forge, and whose assistant it is when it acts for someone. Marketing messages need their own consent, separate from phone or email verification. Opting out of agent messages does not block the sign-in or verification codes you request.
Text messages: Forge texts you sign-in and verification codes, replies to messages you send us, once your own Forge number is assigned and your sign-up consent is recorded, a first message from that number, and agent notifications you ask for. Message frequency varies with your use. Msg & data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Reply HELP for help or STOP to stop texts; you can also email contact@forge.team.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use Forge to break the law, infringe others' rights, or attack systems you are not authorised to test; do not abuse, probe or defraud the metering, billing, verification or referral systems; do not resell access without our written agreement.
9. Disclaimers and liability
Forge is provided "as is". AI output can be wrong; software the agent writes or runs is your responsibility to review. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Termination and changes
You can stop using Forge and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms. We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the product or by email, and continued use after the effective date is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
